Volunteer With Us

Involvement in voluntary work is a unique, cost-effective way to gain life experience while travelling and helping to bring a smile to other people’s faces is inviting both local and international volunteers to help us run our various activities at the home. Volunteers will not be paid any salaries and will be expected to meet their own expenses, including any international flights to and from. Bangladesh and the attendant costs. In order to apply, you will need to submit the following before we can consider a placement for you within our home. To complete the Volunteers Application Form, you will require:

• A comprehensive and up-to date CV: It is important that you provide with as much detail about your self as possible on your CV. This includes personal information about your hobbies and interests etc., so that we have some understanding of your personality, background, education and aims for the future.
• A cover letter: Please attach a cover letter to include any information that you think we will need in order to make a decision about your volunteer application. Indicate the reasons why you are interesed in volunteering your services to Morning star Children’s Ministry.

Mrs. Suniti Baidya is continuously volunteering in our project, taking the children to school and to hospital for regular check up. In addition, for their spiritual growth she is taking Sunday class, teaching them from Bible in the morning and evening devotion.

Mr. Arthi Bose, who lives in the district of Kusthia, also volunteering in our project. He is also teaching them Bible verse, prayer and different stories from Bible.

Short-term volunteering:

We are always looking for people with teaching skills: , Sunday School, actually any kind of teaching skills are welcome in the Hostel . For this kind of volunteering, we accept short-time commitments. Maybe you wish to come during your summer holidays for one or two months? Please note that a good oral English level is required for teaching.

Visits:

If you want to visit the homeless children in our centers, want to listen to them, want to see how they grow up with us you are welcome to come and be with them. It would be an opportunity for these children to experience your care and it could also be a touching experience for you.
